The M6:8 Movement is a resource for individuals (Christians in particular) who want to live a life that promotes racial justice. This FREE training includes 5 steps and several training modules to help you self reflect, learn, and develop a plan to act against racial injustice.
These modules will only introduce you to concepts. To find out how to engage in the full interactive training experience you'll need to connect with us.
The entire training should take about 1-2 hours to complete. However, journey towards doing justice will last a lifetime.
Watch this short video to better understand how you can be a part of this movement and the benefits you'll gain.
If you've watched the video and still think "I'm ready to do this" then take this next step. This self-assessment will help you understand your current anti-bias behavior. This information will help you engage in the action steps that follow.
These videos will introduce you to the context, principles, and steps you'll need to know to do justice. You'll hear personal stories and examples of what racial justice work and partnership can look like for you.
Take a moment or two to reflect on what you've heard and learned. Do the following:
Where do you see yourself on the engagement continuum?
Identify three specific steps you can take to progress along the continuum.
Identify one accountability partner to share your plan with.
Set a target date for yourself to check back on your progress. This is critical to ensure that this work is lasting and sustainable.
The steps you've taken to educate yourself and commit to action are invaluable and we appreciate your willingness to become a partner for racial justice. Now, make your commitment public and take the pledge by submitting your plan to The M6:8 Project discussion board.
